Honeycomb — Habit Tracker (“Honeycomb”, “we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a habit
tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect,
how we use and store it, and the choices you have. By using Honeycomb, you
agree to the practices described below.
When you create an account or sign in, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name (optional, from Apple or Google Sign In)
- Profile photo URL (optional, from Apple or Google Sign In)
- Device timezone (auto-detected, IANA format such as
Asia/Tashkent)
- Preferred language (
uz, ru, or en)
1.2 Habit Data
- Habit names, icons, schedules, and reminder times
- Completion entries (per habit, per day)
- Streaks and completion statistics
- Your virtual bee colony state (generated automatically from your activity)
- Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
- App version and operating system version (via Firebase Analytics)
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics, anonymized)
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any payment card
details.
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the service — store and sync your habits, calculate streaks, and
maintain your bee colony
- Improve the app — anonymized analytics help us decide which features to
build and fix
- Send notifications — daily reminders and gentle nudges (you can disable
these at any time)
- Provide support — respond to your questions and requests
We do not:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Show advertisements
- Share your data with advertisers
- Use your habit data to train AI models
3. Third-Party Services
Honeycomb relies on the following service providers to operate:

Each provider processes your data under its own privacy policy:
4. Data Storage & Security
- Your data is stored on Firebase servers located in the European Union
(europe-west1, Belgium).
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (Firebase default encryption).
- A local copy is cached on your device so the app works offline; this cache
syncs back to our servers when you reconnect.
5. Your Rights & Choices
You can:
- Access your data — your habits and statistics are visible in the app at
any time.
- Delete your account — go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This
permanently removes your account and all associated data.
- Disable notifications — through your device settings or
Profile → Settings → Notifications.
- Disable analytics — through your device privacy settings.
If you are in the EU/EEA (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you also have the right to
request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and the
right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using
the details in Section 9.
6. Data Retention
- Active accounts: data is retained for as long as your account exists.
- Deleted accounts: all associated data is removed within 30 days of
deletion.
- Crash reports: anonymized crash logs are retained for up to 90 days.
7. Children’s Privacy
Honeycomb is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). If you
believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and
we will delete it.
8. International Users
- Legal basis (GDPR): We process account data to perform our agreement with
you (Art. 6(1)(b)) and rely on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for
anonymized crash and usage analytics.
- California (CCPA): You may request access to or deletion of your personal
information at any time. We do not sell personal information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at
the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. For material
changes, we will notify you within the app.
